Adoption Services' Birth Mother Support Groups

Adoption Services has one of the largest and most complete list of parenting support groups for birth mothers on the net.  For your convenience the list is broken down by state.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

BBBSA is an association of agencies that enables adult volunteers to serve as friends, mentors, and role models for school-aged children and teens. Many of the agencies also provide programs for children and families in the areas of substance abuse, sexual abuse, teen pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, and children with disabilities.

Teenage Mother Help

YoungMommies.com: The Young Mommies Help Site is designed for young mothers and pregnant women who plan on raising their child.  The YMHS provides free services including young mother discussion and chat groups, a weekly chat with other young mothers, a pen pal directory, and links to helpful sites, resources and information.

Mothers of Preschoolers

Another resource is Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS  attempts to help every type of mother - urban, suburban, rural moms, stay-at-home. working mothers, teens, single and married mothers. MOPS tries to help by establishing relationships in local groups that provide a caring atmosphere.
