Medical and financial help may be available if you know where to look.

Government Resources and Help

You may be eligible for free or low-cost programs offered through the U.S. government and your state government.  The website link Government Assistance Programs and the information and links below will help you get in contact with these programs.

National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program provides free or low-cost mammograms and pap tests.

Child Health Insurance Program is an insurance program for infants, children and teens.

Child Nutrition Programs give you the link to the government programs including the National School Lunch Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, School Breakfast Program, and the Special Milk Program.

Early Head State programs are available to assist you in providing for the health and education of your child.

Food Banks provide a nationwide network of food warehouses that offer free food to fight hunger. 

Food Stamp Programs help low-income people and families buy the food they need.

Health Departments in can help you find out about health, nutrition, insurance, and school programs.

Medicaid is available to low-income individuals and families Medicaid does not pay money to you; instead, it sends payments directly to your health care providers.

WIC, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children provides nutritious foods, nutrition counseling, and referrals to health and other social services to participants at no charge.

Birthright International

Birthright International offers support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy and are looking for alternatives to an abortion.

NurturingNetwork.org's services include medical assistance, financial assistance, nurturing homes, educational programs, employment & adoption counseling, preparation for parenthood.  The objective of the Nurturing Network is to ensure that every woman knows that the resources she needs in order to continue her pregnancy.
